The young people we support are assessed by their local authorities in accordance with the Children Act (1989/2004) and are deemed to be a child in need without an adult to accommodate or a child who is looked after by the local authority.

We are very proud to have a unique combination of experience totalling 20 years in the field of children’s social work and mental health. Our Founder is a senior mental health practitioner who has worked in numerous settings with a specialism in Dual Diagnosis (mental health and substance misuse) for over 13 years.

Our service manager is a registered children social worker who has held several social worker positions within inner London local authorities and managerial positions in different MASH (Multi Agency Safeguarding Hub) for local authorities.
Together they have stepped out with a passion to make a sustainable impact in the lives of young people which is a group that as a service we feel passionate about supporting.

At JenKin Support Services we believe that we are specialists through our practice and experience in the same vein we acknowledge each young person as the expert of their own lived experiences. We are aware of the support needed by the young person in areas like managing the home setting, their weekly money, healthcare issues, emotional and behavioural issues, education and training matters, legal matters, social matters amongst other things: to ensure they can build resilience to cope with life issues.
We seek to provide a homely, comfortable, high standard of accommodation and a supportive environment for our young people with a focus on positive outcomes for all the young people in our accommodation. We are pleased to be providing a specialist support service for young people with a wide range of needs.

Our service offer is accurately based on the individual and holistic assessment of our young person’s needs. We work as guarded by the principles of “Every Child Matters” to ensure that we are always focused on supporting the needs of our young people.
